Scholarship Description:

The OSGC Undergraduate Scholarship Programs support the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) objectives of fostering and encouraging career goals in the aerospace industry. Individuals from under-represented groups are encouraged to apply.

Scholarships of up to $2,000 are open to new and continuing students in the disciplines of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and are awarded through a competitive process. The OSGC office evaluates applications received for eligibility. Individual member institutions review qualifying applications and make recommendations for funding to the OSGC Director based on the quality of the proposals as reflected in the review criteria. Final award decisions are at the discretion of the Director.

Description:
This scholarship was established by the Michael and Linda Stickney Foundation. Michael is the broker of NorthSteppe Realty, and the great-great grandson of Thomas Ewing Miller. This scholarship fund is to commemorate Thomas Ewing Miller’s 125th anniversary of his Presidency and membership to the Board of Trustees of The Ohio State University.

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Applicant must be working (PT or FT) through college
  2. Applicant must have achieved sophomore status or higher at The Ohio State University
  3. Applicant must have at least a 2.75 grade point average
  4. Applicant must specialize (major or minor) in Real Estate, within the Finance Department of the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Candidate must be currently attending a 4-year, accredited college or university in Ohio or that has a reciprocity with Ohio (preference may be given to candidates who are permanent residents of Ohio)
  2. Candidate must be female
  3. Candidate must meet one of the following: returned to college as an undergraduate or graduate student after an extended absence of at least two years; 23 and older and in college for the first time or applying for graduate school for the first time with at least a 3.0 GPA; or has completed freshman year with at least a 3.0 GPA

Ohio Library Foundation Fund

Description:
The purpose of this scholarship is to continue the legacy of Walter Brahm, former State Librarian, and John Rebenack, former Library Director, by honoring their commitment to outstanding library service. This scholarship supports the educational advancement of an outstanding student enrolled in the Master of Library and Information Science School at Kent State University.

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Candidate may be attending classes on campus, on-line, or at any of the satellite locations of Kent State University
  2. Candidate may be enrolled either full or part time
  3. Candidate must be a resident of Ohio
  4. Candidate must be accepted in the Master of Library and Information Science School at Kent State University

To provide financial assistance to a student pursuing a B.S. or A.D. in Nursing at a Franklin County, Ohio college or school of nursing.

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Age 23 or older
  2. Must be planning to work as a direct-care RN in a hospital or skilled nursing facility in the Columbus, Ohio area upon graduation
  3. Must have at least two years of full- or part-time work experience in a hospital or skilled nursing facility
  4. Must have successfully completed at least one year of an RN education program with a grade point average of B or higher
  5. Working toward a B.S. or A.D. in Nursing at a Franklin County college or school of nursing
